The following requirements must be met in order to request a chipping appointment:

  • Debris must be piled along a route of ingress/egress that a truck towing a chipper can access - not along county roads

  • All cut parts of the limbs must be faced out towards the driveway

  • All piles must be within 10 feet of the driveway

  • All limbs must be no wider that 5 feet

  • All limbs shall be 6 inches in diameter or less

  • Piles must be no higher than 4 feet and free of any trash or metal

  • Piles can be any length

If limbs are piled incorrectly, the MFSC will not chip them.

MFSC reserves the right to refuse services.

Please include the information on the "Interested in Chipping" form below. Incomplete chipping forms cannot be signed up:

  1. Name, address, and phone number

  2. Type and condition of wood (for ex: burned manzanita limbs)

  3. Number of piles

  4. Approximate overall length of piles

Advise us of your interest in chipping services below and we will call you in order to place you on our list for services.  You will then be contacted by our contractor to schedule a date and time.  Depending upon  your location and the number of services pending, turnaround time can be anywhere from 1-2 weeks to 4 weeks or more in the most outer rural areas of Mariposa County.  Please make sure you are ready for chipping when making your request.

Additionally, there are two forms that will require your signature, the actual Request for Service form and a Right of Entry form.   These will be provided by MFSC if we need to perform a pre-inspection before services, or by the contractor on the date of service.  Thus, someone must be home on the date that the services are performed.  If you are a CARE recipient, we will need to see proof that you are currently on that program.  This can easily be achieved by providing, at our pre-inspection for brush and chip, the top left section of your most recent PG&E bill reflecting that you, at that address, are on the CARE program.

You do not need to complete the "contact" form at the bottom of the page, if you complete the "Interested in Chipping Services" form below.
